The National Center for Medical Rehabilitation Research is accepting letters of recommendation for advisory board members to serve on the 18-member NCMRR Advisory Board. NCMRR is looking for candidates to fill the researcher/scientific/academic slots and the consumer slots. There is not an official form, but please include the individual’s name, professional degrees and affiliations, and a brief statement regarding why they would be an appropriate candidate (e.g., domain of interest and good consensus skills) in your letter. The Advisory Board meets twice per year, in May and December, for a day and a half each meeting. Reasonable travel and hotel expenses will be covered by the NCMRR. Those individuals who hold current federal government appointments will not be considered. No formal deadline was provided but please submit asap (over the next couple of weeks).
If you are interested or know someone who is, please submit a letter of recommendation to Michael Weinrich, MD, the NCMRR Director at weinricm@mail.nih.gov at your earliest opportunity. Please inform the Academy if you plan to submit a nominee.
