AAPM&R’s national health policy efforts promote our mission and purpose before federal and state legislative, regulatory, and executive agencies. AAPM&R's health policy team monitors, analyzes and reports back to members on rules and regulations that impact the practice of physiatry. In addition, our staff holds meetings with agencies such as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the National Institutes of Health, and others, to address the concerns of physiatrists and their patients.
