General Information for the 2010 Annual Assembly
AAPM&R conferences are ADA compliant. We strive to take the appropriate steps required to ensure that no individual with a disability is excluded, denied services, segregated, or otherwise treated differently. Individuals requiring special assistance should contact AAPM&R. All requests for special accommodations under ADA must be made allowing enough time for evaluation and appropriate action by AAPM&R.
Semi-casual business wear is recommended for the Annual Assembly. We suggest you
dress comfortably and have a jacket or sweater available in case you find the
meeting rooms too cold.
Children and Infant Policy
For the safety of all attendees, infants and children are prohibited from attending any educational session. Any child (12 years or older) must be accompanied by an attendee if visiting the Exhibit Hall. Under no circumstances are meeting attendees or their children allowed on the Exhibit Hall floor during the hours of set up or tear down. Children may attend the Welcome Reception (Thursday, November 4) and the President’s Reception (Saturday, November 6) if they are registered for the meeting. Registration for children over 5 is $20 per child.
Course Handouts
All meeting registrants will receive a CD-ROM of course handouts onsite with the meeting materials. AAPM&R requires that all faculty provide copies of their PowerPoint® presentations and a course handout. By providing the CD-ROM to attendees at the meeting, faculty has additional time to include their course handouts.
Before the meeting, a link to the handouts will be e-mailed to all registered attendees so that registrants can access/print the course handouts prior to the start of the conference.
General Disclaimer
By virtue of participation, meeting registrants grant to the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, its representatives and employees the right to take photographs of them in connection with the 2010 AAPM&R Annual Assembly. It is agreed that the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation may use such photographs of them with or without their name and for any lawful purpose, including for example such purposes as publicity, illustration, advertising, and Web content.
Guest/Accompanying Person Program
The guest/accompanying person registration features admittance to the Welcome Reception, President’s Reception, and Exhibit Hall. The cost per person is $70 before September 9 or $85 afterward.
Complimentary wireless Internet is available in each Academy hotel in the lobby; nominal fees to access the Internet may apply in the guest rooms. E-Mail Access Stations will be positioned throughout the convention center for those who are not bringing a computer to the meeting.
