CMMI Announces Up to $1 Billion in Grants

The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation recently announced the Health Care Innovation Challenge, the agency’s latest major funding opportunity. The Center plans to commit up to $1 billion in grants to applicants who will implement the most compelling new ideas to deliver better health, improved care and lower costs to people—particularly those with the highest health care needs—enrolled in Medicare, Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program. Letters of intent must be received by December 19, 2011, and applications must be received by January 27, 2012.
