About the Course
This advanced-level course focuses on the uses of musculoskeletal ultrasound for the lower extremity. This two-and-a-half-day course offers hands-on diagnostic and interventional training as well as bonus lectures and independent scanning time that will prepare you to introduce musculoskeletal ultrasound to your practice.
Participants will learn to perform musculoskeletal ultrasonographic examinations and ultrasound-guided interventional procedures on the hip, knee, foot and ankle
This two-and-a-half-day, advanced-level course offers:
- Up to 20 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™
- 12+ hours of hands-on, advanced-level diagnostic scanning using live subjects and interventional procedures on lower extremity cadaveric specimens
- 10 dynamic demonstrations and lectures related to diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal ultrasound
- 3 bonus lectures to teach you how to code for ultrasound-guided procedures, market for referrals, and purchase the best musculoskeletal ultrasound machine for your practice
- Independent scanning time on cadaver specimens
Attend this course to learn how to:
- Identify muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, joints, and more using musculoskeletal ultrasound
- Recognize pathologic conditions in the lower extremity using musculoskeletal ultrasound
- Perform a systematic musculoskeletal ultrasonographic examination of the hip, knee, foot and ankle
- Perform ultrasound-guided lower extremity procedures including injections and percutaneous needle tenotomies

Participation in the MSK Ultrasound of the Lower Extremity course that includes a pre-requisite of having attended an MSK ultrasound course that included hands-on scanning.
