Hosted by current American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR) board directors, this open forum-style session will allow participants to comment, make suggestions or ask questions related to the entire scope of board certification and Maintenance of Certification® (MOC®).

Following a brief overview of options and resources for completing MOC Part IV—Practice Improvement Project (PIP)—ABPMR board directors and quality improvement experts will guide participants step-by-step through the PIP process, including time for peer discussion and personalized advice from the experts.

Once a year, the Foundation for PM&R has the opportunity to thank our donors for their support in a social setting. The reception will also feature this year’s Research Grant Award winners presenting brief summaries of their winning research proposals.

End your day with complimentary coffee and dessert while listening to experts debate a controversial topic in physiatric medicine selected from the point/counterpoint series in the PM&R Journal. George Kevorkian, MD, will moderate. Stuart Weinstein, MD, editor-in-chief of PM&R, will also present the PM&R Journal’s Best Paper Award.

Meet members of the Foundation for PM&R Board of Directors, get information about the Foundation for PM&R research grants and awards program, learn about the Americans with Disability Fund’s focus on fitness, register for the Rehab 5K Run/Walk & Roll, and pick up bibs and t-shirts for the run.

Join your colleagues for this early morning run. Participants who are preregistered can pick up their race packets at the Foundation for PM&R booth. (Registration is also available onsite, but late fees apply.)  This is a fundraising event to raise money for physiatric research. Additional donations and sponsorship of participants is encouraged.
