​Historically, there has not been a single resource that articulates the breadth and depth of clinical practice for physiatrists. Knowledge NOW will meet that need and in the process will help articulate the value of the specialty of PM&R.
What is Knowledge NOW?
Knowledge NOW is a comprehensive online resource that articulates:
- Clinical practice areas for physiatrists
- What physiatrists do in practice
- Demonstrates the unique value physiatrists add to the healthcare system
Knowledge NOW will offer access to clinical and practice resources such as:
- Practice Guidelines
- Related Articles
- Educational Content
- Therapeutic Information
What Will Knowledge NOW Look Like?
The Knowledge NOW site will be organized by clinical topics relevant to PM&R. Each clinical topic will be built out in a consistent format and address the following subtopics (each clinical topic submission will be limited to ~1700 words):
- Disease/Disorder
- Essentials of Assessment
- Management and Treatment
- Cutting Edge Concepts in Practice
- Gaps in the Evidence Based Knowledge
- References (10 maximum)
