​Historically, there has not been a single resource that articulates the breadth and depth of clinical practice for physiatrists. PM&R Knowledge NOW will meet that need and in the process will help articulate the value of the specialty of PM&R.
What is PM&R Knowledge NOW?
PM&R Knowledge NOW is a comprehensive online resource that articulates:
- Clinical practice areas for physiatrists
- What physiatrists do in practice
- Demonstrates the unique value physiatrists add to the healthcare system
PM&R Knowledge NOW will offer access to clinical and practice resources such as:
- Practice Guidelines
- Related Articles
- Educational Content
- Therapeutic Information
What Will PM&R Knowledge NOW Look Like?
The PM&R Knowledge NOW site will be organized by clinical topics relevant to PM&R. Each clinical topic will be built out in a consistent format and address the following subtopics (each clinical topic submission will be limited to ~1700 words):
- Disease/Disorder
- Essentials of Assessment
- Management and Treatment
- Cutting Edge Concepts in Practice
- Gaps in the Evidence Based Knowledge
- References (10 maximum)
