American College of Radiology Appropriateness Criteria®

The American College of Radiology (ACR) has released an updated version of the ACR Appropriateness Criteria®, which are evidence-based guidelines designed to assist physicians and other health care providers in making appropriate imaging and treatment decisions for specific medical conditions. Expert panels comprised of leaders in radiology and other medical specialties have developed over 160 guidelines on diagnostic imaging, interventional radiology, and radiation oncology. Of particular interest to PM&R are guidelines on musculoskeletal and neurologic imaging.

The guidelines are available online at the ACR website by clicking here.
