AMA Policy on Chaperones During Physical Exams

For physiatrists looking for resources on providing chaperones during patient physical examinations, the American Medical Association (AMA) has a policy “Use of Chaperones During Physical Exams” available. The AMA’s policy covers many aspects of the issue and offers practical recommendations for how to include chaperones in a medical practice.

The AMA policy is available upon request by contacting Wendy Chill at the Academy national office at 312-464-9700 or online by clicking here.
