Claims Management Resource Kit Available from the AMA

The American Medical Association (AMA) has developed a kit that gives physicians a step-by-step approach to follow in uncovering and appealing claims that have been inappropriately denied or underpaid by insurance companies. The Claims Management Resource Kit provides a detailed guide to the health insurance claims submission and appeals processes.

The kit includes a CD-ROM with claims management tools as well as three booklets on preparing, appealing, and following health insurer claims. The kit is geared toward helping physicians receive timely and complete reimbursement and reduce administrative hassles.
