HIPAA Privacy and Security Audit
AAPM&R has
adapted for its members a Health Insurance Portability and
Accountability Act (HIPAA) Privacy and
Security Audit developed by the Illinois State Medical Society (ISMS) and
ISMIE Mutual Insurance Company (ISMIE). The audit presents 16 statements
designed to help physicians consider changes they may need to make in their
offices in order to meet HIPAA’s privacy and security requirements.
