AAPM&R Sponsorship Opportunity:
Study Guides
Needs Assessment
The field of physical medicine and rehabilitation is constantly evolving.
Comprehensive updates on the most relevant clinical topics to the specialty
are a necessary tool to keep PM&R physicians up-to-date on the most current
research and trends. Study Guide topics rotate annually to cover the breadth
of the field of PM&R. This comprehensive tool is widely recognized by the
specialty as the go-to guide for clinical updates.
Program Details
The Study Guide is a continuing medical education tool designed to guide
both physiatrists and residents in physical medicine and rehabilitation in
their self-directed study.
The program for each topic includes explanatory text, reference lists, and a
hard copy of the self-assessment examination. The self-assessment exam is an
electronic evaluation tool that is a separate product and also available for
support. These easy-to-use clinical and research reference tools are
invaluable to any physiatrist, whether studying for the PM&R boards, earning
CME credit hours via the self-assessment exam, or staying informed about
the latest clinical developments.
Text is developed by experts in the field who practice on the cutting-edge
of the topic area and who are in the best position to inform peers about
clinical advances.
Information on the clinical topics is relevant to everyday practice of PM&R
physicians and their staff.
Upcoming topics include:

| • Congenital and Acquired Brain Injury |
| • Interventions in Chronic Pain
Management |
