AAPM&R Invites Rehab Community to 2007 Annual Assembly
The American Academy of Physical Medicine and
Rehabilitation (AAPM&R) 68th Annual Assembly will offer the most continuing
medical education opportunities in one location for PM&R specialists. The
meeting convenes September 27-30, 2007 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston.
The AAPM&R Annual Assembly will feature an extensive
educational program with nearly 100 educational sessions including over 50
interactive and hands-on workshops. Attendees can earn up to 31 hours of AMA PRA
Category 1 credits™. Courses will be organized into five educational topic
tracks: Musculoskeletal Medicine, Neurological Rehabilitation, Practice
Management and Leadership, Rehabilitation Topics, and Spine/SCI. An additional
track on Thursday only is specifically for PM&R residents. Four preconference
courses will be held September 26-27.
New research will be presented during scientific paper and
poster sessions. Rounding out the educational program are a job fair, social
events, and a technical exhibition of more than 120 companies.
The AAPM&R Annual Assembly is the largest annual gathering
of physical medicine and rehabilitation professionals. Close to 2,500
rehabilitation physicians and allied health care professionals are expected to
attend. Online registration and an online Preliminary Program for the meeting
can be found at www.aapmr.org. For other information, contact AAPM&R at

AAPM&R is the national medical specialty society of more
than 7,500 physical medicine and rehabilitation physicians, also called
physiatrists. Rehabilitation physicians are nerve, muscle and bone experts who
treat injuries or illnesses that affect how you move. Their goal is to decrease
pain and restore function without surgery. |
