Cost-Effectiveness Bibliography Searchable Database
Welcome to the AAPM&R Cost-Effectiveness Bibliography (CEB). This project was undertaken to
help fulfill the need for information about cost-effective practices related
to physical medicine and rehabilitation.
The Academy hopes the results of this project will help provide its members
with access to:
-
Evidence of cost-effective practices in PM&R
services for use in the development of legislative statements and research
priorities; and
-
Evidence of cost-effective practices of PM&R
services that may be used with managed care organizations and other entities
with whom they interact.
It is important to note that the study of cost-effectiveness in medicine,
particularly in rehabilitation medicine, is in its infancy. To better
understand the specifics of this project, members are advised to read the "Introduction"
and "About
the Cost-Effectiveness Bibliography" sections before proceeding.
