Register with the Health Care Notification Network (HCNN) to receive free patient safety alerts.

The Academy has partnered with HCNN, a secure, private network for physicians and physician assistants, to deliver drug recalls and patient safety alerts as mandated by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). HCNN delivers alerts immediately online, replacing the slower, paper-based method.

Funding is provided by the manufacturers who are required by FDA to issue drug recalls and patient safety alerts; HCNN does not include any advertising of any kind. The network is governed by a non-profit board that protects the identity and privacy of participants (registered information, including e-mail addresses, will never be sold, shared, or disclosed to third parties including the FDA, manufacturers, and other HCNN users).

Note: Physicians and physician assistants may designate other health care professionals who are part of their medical team to receive HCNN alerts, and registered users may opt out at any time.
