PM&R
The journal of injury, function
and rehabilitation
PM&R will be the official scientific journal of AAPM&R beginning
in 2009
The Academy is proud to announce the launch of PM&R – a
new monthly, scientific, peer-reviewed journal created specifically for the
physical medicine and rehabilitation physician. The Academy’s goal is to advance
education and impact the specialty through the timely delivery of clinically
relevant and evidence-based research and review information. Topics will include
acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders and pain, neurologic conditions
involving the central and peripheral nervous systems, rehabilitation of
impairments associated with disabilities in adults and children, and
neurophysiology and electrodiagnosis. PM&R will emphasize principles of injury,
function, and rehabilitation, and is designed to be relevant to practitioners
and researchers in a variety of medical and surgical specialties and
rehabilitation disciplines.
Look for the first issue of PM&R when it launches in January 2009 and becomes
the Academy’s new official scientific journal.
