Nominate Member Council Leaders by May 8

Do you have leadership skills or experience, or know of a colleague who does? Submit a nomination ballot today!

We’re currently seeking nominations for several leadership positions within all 5 of the Member Councils:

All nomination ballots must be completed and submitted by May 8 and are only accepted electronically.

If you nominate a colleague, then that person is required to submit a self-nomination ballot to confirm his or her interest. If you need help deciding who would be effective in leadership positions, view a PDF of the Council leader position descriptions and FAQs about the Member Council leadership nomination process. Elections by acclamation for open positions will be held at each Member Council gathering during the AAPM&R 2016 Annual Assembly, October 20–23 in New Orleans, LA.

Legislation Introduced to Alleviate Impact of Conversion Factor Cut for 2021

Last month, two bills were introduced in the House proposing solutions to the estimated 10.6% Physician Fee Schedule conversion factor cut expected to go into effect January 1, 2021.  The bills offer some relief to the cut, but do not reflect a comprehensive or long-term solution.  AAPM&R has therefore chosen to remain neutral regarding these bills. 

Your Academy continues to advocate for a permanent solution to the conversion factor cut while maintaining the important payment increases to office and outpatient evaluation and management services.
