Introducing the Refreshed Certification Qbank

May 16, 2018

The Academy is excited to announce the launch of a refreshed Certification Qbank! Check out some highlights of this substantial new resource:

The Certification Qbank is intended to assist physiatrists preparing for the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR) Part I Certification Examination and Part III Maintenance of Certification Examination.

It’s designed to assess one's knowledge of the diagnosis, treatment, and management of various PM&R-related conditions. By doing so, participants are able to identify knowledge gaps in which additional study is needed and develop strategies to close these gaps by using the resources provided as references within the activity.

Participants should also be able to recognize appropriate clinical management strategies and apply them into their practice.

Whether you’re preparing for the ABPMR exams, looking to assess your knowledge or keeping current on the latest advances in PM&R, the Certification Qbank has been designed to help meet your educational needs.

Legislation Introduced to Alleviate Impact of Conversion Factor Cut for 2021

Nov 09, 2020

Last month, two bills were introduced in the House proposing solutions to the estimated 10.6% Physician Fee Schedule conversion factor cut expected to go into effect January 1, 2021.  The bills offer some relief to the cut, but do not reflect a comprehensive or long-term solution.  AAPM&R has therefore chosen to remain neutral regarding these bills.

Your Academy continues to advocate for a permanent solution to the conversion factor cut while maintaining the important payment increases to office and outpatient evaluation and management services.
