June 7: Virtual Town Hall for IRF Proposed Rule

Members & Publications

May 22, 2018

AAPM&R is in the process of developing the Academy response to the proposed regulations in the 2019 Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility Proposed Rule, which was published in late April. Academy member feedback is critical to crafting a comprehensive response to the proposed rule. This rule includes significant proposed changes, such as removal of the FIM instrument from the IRF-PAI as well as changes to the physician supervision requirement.

You are invited to join an hour-long virtual town hall meeting to learn about the rule’s proposals and provide feedback regarding how these proposals will impact your practice and the patients you see.

Legislation Introduced to Alleviate Impact of Conversion Factor Cut for 2021

Nov 09, 2020

Last month, two bills were introduced in the House proposing solutions to the estimated 10.6% Physician Fee Schedule conversion factor cut expected to go into effect January 1, 2021.  The bills offer some relief to the cut, but do not reflect a comprehensive or long-term solution.  AAPM&R has therefore chosen to remain neutral regarding these bills.

Your Academy continues to advocate for a permanent solution to the conversion factor cut while maintaining the important payment increases to office and outpatient evaluation and management services.
