  • Alexios G. Carayannopoulos, DO, medical director of the Comprehensive Spine Center at Rhode Island Hospital and AAPM&R Leadership Program Fellow, has joined The Expert Network, an invitation-only service for distinguished professionals.   • Chuck Dietzen, MD, pediatric physiatrist and founder/president of Timmy Global Health, just released his new book, "Pint-sized Prophets: Inspirational Moments That Taught Me We Are All Born To Be Healers." Congratulations, Dr. Dietzen! Learn more.

  • Sameer Kapasi, MA, MD, physiatrist at New England Physiatry, recently spoke on the topic of back pain and spinal health at the Mega Health Expo in Burlington, MA. Learn more.

  • Malcolm D. Reid, MD, MPP, chairman of the PM&R department at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and Mount Sinai West, took office as president of the Medical Society of the State of New York (MSSNY) at its annual House of Delegates meeting in Tarrytown, NY on April 17.   • Jason L. Zaremski, MD, CAQSM, FACSM, assistant professor and co-medical director of the adolescent and high school outreach program at the University of Florida College of Medicine, has been selected to be a member of the United States Olympic Committee Medical Volunteer Program. He will spend 2 weeks in June at the Colorado Springs Olympic Training Center (OTC). His duties will include working in the sports medicine clinics as well as assisting with the following sports: weightlifting, men’s gymnastics, modern pentathlon, triathlon, shooting, greco-roman wrestling, men’s and women’s freestyle wrestling, and paralympic swimming.
