Facilities and resources

The following guidelines will help to ensure that proper and sufficient resources are committed to the program.

  1. The conducting organization should provide the following:
    1. Financial resources
    2. Physical resources including facilities, equipment, and supplies
    3. Clinical site(s) with a patient/client population having a wide array of subspecialty-related problems
    4. Access to other health care specialists for consultation in a multi-disciplinary approach
    5. Learning resources including library as well as technological access and support
    6. Experienced and sufficient number of faculty for clinical and didactic instruction
    7. Sufficient support personnel
    8. Fellow services including assistance with and counseling in a variety of areas, including securing housing, licensure, and insurance
    9. Costs associated with meeting established quality standards
  2. The conducting organization’s support of the clinical and components should be consistent and demonstrable.
  3. Program budget and resources should be reviewed annually by the program administrator(s) to ascertain and ensure their adequacy.
