Facilities and resources
The following guidelines will help to ensure that proper
and sufficient resources are committed to the program.
- The conducting organization should provide the following:
- Financial resources
- Physical resources including facilities, equipment, and supplies
- Clinical site(s) with a patient/client population having a wide array of
subspecialty-related problems
- Access to other health care specialists for consultation in a
multi-disciplinary approach
- Learning resources including library as well as technological access and
support
- Experienced and sufficient number of faculty for clinical and didactic
instruction
- Sufficient support personnel
- Fellow services including assistance with and counseling in a variety of
areas, including securing housing, licensure, and insurance
- Costs associated with meeting established quality standards
- The conducting organization’s support of the clinical and components should be consistent and demonstrable.
- Program budget and resources should be reviewed annually by the program administrator(s) to ascertain and ensure their adequacy.
