Cancellation Policy

What if I need to change my registration type (virtual to in-person or in-person to virtual)?

Your Academy understands that you might still be deciding how to participate in the Assembly this year. Now through November 5, attendees will be able to switch their registration type, and receive the same discounts as their original registration.

Virtual Only registration fees already paid will be applied toward In-Person + Virtual fees. Any surplus of fees when switching from In-Person + Virtual to Virtual Only may be applied as a refund back to the purchasing credit card, applied toward 2022 Annual Assembly registration or applied toward 2022 AAPM&R membership dues.

Please send your request to and Customer Service will process your updated registration. After November 5, please contact Customer Service directly at 847-737-6000 for assistance.

What if I need to cancel?

Now through November 5, AAPM&R will give a full refund for the Annual Assembly, for any reason. A full refund will be issued to any registrant upon request, without any fees or penalties, no matter when they registered for the Annual Assembly. When possible, cancellations with advance notice are appreciated.

Other Registration FAQs

Is a Guest registration category available this year?

Due to safety measures we have implemented for the Assembly, seating and space at sessions and events have been prioritized for attendees. We are unable to offer a Guest registration category for the conference this year, and we appreciate your understanding.

Families and companions traveling to Nashville with Annual Assembly attendees are welcome to attend the President’s Reception on Friday, November 12. Attendees can purchase additional tickets as they register for the Annual Assembly.  

How do I add a Skills Lab or another ticketed event to my registration?

Registration for Skills Labs, President’s Reception and the Foundation 5K may be purchased online during Assembly registration. Please note that tickets for the Skills Labs and President’s Reception are only available to In-Person registrants. Both In-Person and Virtual Only registrants may participate in the Foundation 5K.

If you have already registered for the Assembly and would like to purchase a ticketed event, you can do so by logging into your registration record, or contacting Customer Service at 847-737-6000.
