On Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at 12:00 – 1:00 pm CT, the American Medical Association (AMA) is hosting an informational webinar for physicians to learn about the National Institutes of Health's (NIH) All of Us Research Program, a cornerstone of its Precision Medicine Initiative.

Featuring Dara Richardson-Heron, MD, Chief Engagement Officer for All of Us, the webinar will detail the NIH's effort to gather data from one million or more people living in the United States and form a longitudinal research cohort intended to improve the ability to prevent and treat disease based on individual differences in lifestyle, environment, and biological make-up. Physicians will be instrumental in helping to ensure the success of this program. Therefore, your Academy encourages you to join this free webinar and/or to view these slides for more information about this initiative.

Legislation Introduced to Alleviate Impact of Conversion Factor Cut for 2021

Nov 09, 2020

Last month, two bills were introduced in the House proposing solutions to the estimated 10.6% Physician Fee Schedule conversion factor cut expected to go into effect January 1, 2021.  The bills offer some relief to the cut, but do not reflect a comprehensive or long-term solution.  AAPM&R has therefore chosen to remain neutral regarding these bills.

Your Academy continues to advocate for a permanent solution to the conversion factor cut while maintaining the important payment increases to office and outpatient evaluation and management services.
