Dues Renewal for Members-in-Training and Recent Graduates is Open

Dues renewal for in-training members is now open until September 30, 2016. You are eligible for renewal if you meet 1 of the following criteria:

  • You are a resident.
  • You are in a fellowship (fellowship application must be submitted to AAPM&R).
  • You graduated from your residency program in 2015 or 2016.
  • You are a medical student with a PM&R Journal subscription.

Whether you’re a PGY1 or PGY4, your Academy has the resources to help you throughout residency, as well as your transition to full-time practice. Receive career advice, educational resources to help you prepare for the board exams, fellowship training advice, leadership opportunities, and more by renewing your membership.

All eligible members will receive an AAPM&R dues invoice. You can renew your dues by submitting your payment with the invoice, renewing online or by calling (847) 737-6000. Thank you in advance for your support in helping move the specialty forward!

Legislation Introduced to Alleviate Impact of Conversion Factor Cut for 2021

Last month, two bills were introduced in the House proposing solutions to the estimated 10.6% Physician Fee Schedule conversion factor cut expected to go into effect January 1, 2021.  The bills offer some relief to the cut, but do not reflect a comprehensive or long-term solution.  AAPM&R has therefore chosen to remain neutral regarding these bills. 

Your Academy continues to advocate for a permanent solution to the conversion factor cut while maintaining the important payment increases to office and outpatient evaluation and management services.
