Members & Publications

June 2, 2017

Your Academy, represented by Dr. Bruce Pomeranz, is participating in the “Improving Hospital Outcomes through Patient Engagement (i-HOPE)” project. The aim of this project is to identify important questions regarding hospital care. We would like input from all member physiatrist regarding any questions that are left unanswered related to hospitalization or the time immediately following hospitalization. These questions will then be used to design research studies and improve hospital care.

We invite you to read more about this project and submit your ideas and questions!

Click here to access the i-HOPE project website containing more information and details of the project team should you have any questions.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Legislation Introduced to Alleviate Impact of Conversion Factor Cut for 2021

Nov 09, 2020

Last month, two bills were introduced in the House proposing solutions to the estimated 10.6% Physician Fee Schedule conversion factor cut expected to go into effect January 1, 2021.  The bills offer some relief to the cut, but do not reflect a comprehensive or long-term solution.  AAPM&R has therefore chosen to remain neutral regarding these bills.

Your Academy continues to advocate for a permanent solution to the conversion factor cut while maintaining the important payment increases to office and outpatient evaluation and management services.
