Complete the AHA Post-Acute Stroke Care Survey

Members & Publications

December 20, 2019

The American Heart Association (AHA) is conducting a survey on post-acute stroke care that will help improve stroke systems of care throughout the nation. The information they gather from the survey is very valuable and could lead to improvements in your workplaces, patient outcomes, and satisfaction for the work you do.

The next round of survey invitations will be sent out on January 2 from ahasurveys@surveys.heart.org. You may or may not get an invitation on January 2, depending on whether someone from your facility has already responded or whether you are on their facility contact list.

If you do get the survey, please consider taking 20 minutes to launch and complete it.  There is a monetary incentive for your time. If you work at a Critical Access Hospital (with swing beds for stroke rehabilitation), Skilled Nursing Facility, or Independent Rehab Facility, and do NOT get the survey, and would like to receive it if no one from your facility responds, please send an email to Teresa.yacoub@heart.org with your name, job title, facility type, facility name, and facility address. The AHA will be happy to send you the survey.

Legislation Introduced to Alleviate Impact of Conversion Factor Cut for 2021

Nov 09, 2020

Last month, two bills were introduced in the House proposing solutions to the estimated 10.6% Physician Fee Schedule conversion factor cut expected to go into effect January 1, 2021.  The bills offer some relief to the cut, but do not reflect a comprehensive or long-term solution.  AAPM&R has therefore chosen to remain neutral regarding these bills.

Your Academy continues to advocate for a permanent solution to the conversion factor cut while maintaining the important payment increases to office and outpatient evaluation and management services.
