AAPM&R Set to Comment on Proposed Payment Rules

Your Academy, with the help of members of the Evidence, Quality, Performance Committee (EQPC), Post-Acute Care Work Group, and Reimbursement and Policy Review Committee (RPRC), are hard at work reviewing the latest proposed payment rules from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). We are in the process of developing comment letters on behalf on the specialty. View the proposed rules here.

Participate in a Survey to Improve Hospital Outcomes

Your Academy, represented by Dr. Bruce Pomeranz, is participating in the “Improving Hospital Outcomes through Patient Engagement (i-HOPE)” project. We would like input from all member physiatrists regarding any questions that are left unanswered related to hospitalization or the time immediately following hospitalization. Learn more and participate.

Young Investigators Urged to Apply for USBJI Grant Mentoring Program

The United States Bone and Joint Initiative (USBJI) and Bone and Joint Canada are dedicated to increasing research of musculoskeletal diseases and have developed a grant mentoring program to provide early-career investigators an opportunity to work with experienced researchers to assist them in securing funding and other survival skills required for pursuing an academic career.

The fall workshop will be held November 10-12, 2017 in Toronto, Ontario. The deadline to apply is July 15, 2017. Learn more and apply for this program.
