The American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (AAPM&R) convened a cross-specialty, multidisciplinary technical expert panel (TEP) to identify and define new measures for quality improvement and for use in their qualified clinical data registry (QCDR).  The measures in this set represent the first effort of AAPM&R to develop meaningful measures for physiatrists that are specific to the conditions they see and the patients they manage.  The AAPM&R proposes this set of measures to promote improved outcomes for patients undergoing management for the following conditions: stroke, acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, and multiple sclerosis. 

The 30-day comment period begins on Monday, July 24 and will close at 5:00 p.m. CT on Wednesday, August 23. All comments are welcome, and will be compiled and shared with the TEP for consideration.
