Medical Student Ambassador Program
At the beginning of 2026, AAPM&R will be opening self-nominations for 2026 -2027 Medical Student Ambassador Program. Similar to the PHiT Ambassador Program, we will be accepting 1-2 medical students from each medical school to increase involvement and recognition within the medical student community. Medical Students must be AAPM&R members and in their first to third year of medical school at the time of applying.
Call for the 2026-2027 Medical Student Ambassador Program will open late February 2026.
Expanded Physiatrist-in-Training (PHiT) Council Board
Starting with the 2025-2026 PHiT Council Board, we have added two additional medical student roles to join the resident and in-training fellow members.
- Medical School and Ambassador Liaison
- Medical Student Inclusion Liaison
Medical Students must be enrolled in a medical school program from November 2026 - October 2027 to be eligible.
Call for the 2026-2027 PHiT Council Board Nominations will open May 2026.
