AAPM&R's Innovators & Influencers Honorees

Nominations for the 2027 AAPM&R Innovators & Influencers Honoree Class open October 7, 2026! The Academy continues recognizing the amazing work of our early- and mid-career Physiatrists and the impact they have on the field of PM&R.

Do you know a colleague whose leadership, innovation, research, advocacy, or commitment to patient care deserves recognition? Have you made contributions you're proud of and would like to share? We invite you to submit a nomination or self-nomination.

Qualifications and Requirements

  •  Must be a member of AAPM&R
    • PGY3 through 15 years post residency are eligible for the honor
  • Accomplished something innovative or influential within the specialty of PM&R or to the patient population. Categories include but are not limited to:
    • Clinical/Practice Innovation
    • Specialty/Patient Advocacy
    • National Education
    • National Service
    • Specialty Awareness/Expansion
    • Mentorship
    • Community Programming/Involvement
    • Patient Education
  • Nomination form to be completed by the nominee or on behalf of someone else.
  • An honoree cannot receive the honor more than once, please view the list of our past honorees before nominating.
