The American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R) invites and strongly encourages members to provide input regarding the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) HCPCS G-code to improve payment accuracy for the care of people with mobility-related disabilities.

Input will be gathered during a Virtual Town Hall on Wednesday, March 8 at 11 am CT.

Questions to be discussed include:

What are the specific elements of a visit with a mobility impaired patient that make the visit more costly to the provider?
In addition to mobility impairments, are there any other specific disabilities physiatrists address that add cost burden on the part of the provider and potentially cause access to care issues for patients?
If we were to offer to help CMS with data collection on the cost of treating mobility impaired patients, what type of data would you be willing to provide to help CMS better value this service and/or ascertain the need for a code for providing care to mobility impaired patients?

The Academy will bring forth input gathered in this Virtual Town Hall to a meeting with CMS on March 15. Don't miss out on this important opportunity to make your voice heard!
