• Practice Efficiency: Using Extenders to Optimize Practice: How do 1% of doctors manage the largest causes of morbidity and the most costly outliers without getting shoved off the field? Physician Extenders! In the changing landscape of medicine, PM&R doctors can provide leadership and perspective--from management of back pain to the rehabilitation of major trauma. The DNA of the Physiatry specialty is to work with teams. Our numbers are insufficient to address the emerging landscape of medicine without help. Where else to start than in demonstrating leadership in the education of the physician extender?
