Supporting the Physiatrist, Strengthening the Specialty

On June 6, your Academy and a committed group of physician specialty societies submitted a letter to Senate leadership encouraging action related to physician payment as the Senate considers next steps regarding the reconciliation bill. Our societies recommend the Senate work to address the 2025 cut to Medicare physician payment as well as work to align future payment years with needed inflationary updates. Further, the letter makes recommendations regarding federal student loans and Medicaid coverage. We encourage all members to support physician payment advocacy efforts by joining our Medicare Payment Relief advocacy campaign.
