On October 29 your Academy joined the American Society of Neuroradiology, the American Society of Spine Radiology, the North American Spine Society, the Society of Interventional Radiology and the Spine Intervention Society in a
joint response to draft local coverage determination (LCD) language shared by seven Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs). The draft LCDs address a variety of procedures, including facet injection and denervation. The MACs are expected to review draft feedback and release a final version of the revised LCD in the coming months. Your Academy will alert members when the new LCDs are released.
