Subject Matter Expert Recruitment – Community Health Center Implementation of 2022 CDC Clinical Practice Guideline for Prescribing Opioids for Pain

Sep 23, 2025, 10:48 by Joy Thissen

The American Medical Association, with CDC funding and in collaboration with NACHC and NHCHC, is developing a toolkit to support community health center (CHC) clinicians in implementing the 2022 CDC Clinical Practice Guideline for Prescribing Opioids for Pain. They are seeking five physicians (MD/DO) and five CHC-based ancillary professionals (e.g., PharmD, DDS, RN, PA, APRN, CHW, Peer Support Specialist) to serve as subject matter experts from September 2025 to July 2026 (with possible extension). Experts will help plan a needs assessment, review toolkit content, and shape messaging, with an estimated time commitment of 2–8 hours/month and a $10,000 honorarium. Interested individuals should apply via Qualtrics. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis but submitting by the end of September will improve chances of being selected. For questions, contact Jennie Jarrett, PharmD, MMedEd, PhD at jennie.jarrett@ama-assn.org. Let us know at healthpolicy@aapmr.org if you apply!
