Your In-Person Assembly Experience

Annual Assembly

Nothing can replace the in-person event experience—the excitement of getting ready for a show, traveling to a destination city, attending educational sessions tailored to your needs—but the key aspect is seeing your peers face-to-face, coupled with great networking opportunities. Now as COVID restrictions ease, we are once again able to host an in-person Annual Assembly.

We can’t wait for you to join us in Baltimore, October 20-23, where we’ll be Leading the Way. Participate in the best-of-the-best PM&R education, enjoy valuable networking experiences with your peers and discover top-notch physiatric research. You won’t want to miss all the excitement and activities in store as meet again in-person in Baltimore!

Your in-person experience includes:

  • All in-person and virtual sessions—recorded and available to all registered attendees following the Assembly for one year, with the opportunity to earn 156.75 CME.
  • 25+ virtual Community Sessions the week leading up to the Annual Assembly (and available on-demand) as well as Community networking onsite.
  • STEP One Ultrasound Pre-conference Course (October 18-19 for STEP Ultrasound Program participants only).
  • Power Plant LIVE!—Baltimore's trendy entertainment venue is physiatry’s place to party for the AAPM&R President’s Reception. Groove to some live music, challenge fellow attendees to some fun arcade games or reconnect with old friends while enjoying some delicious food and drinks. (Additional fees apply).
  • Back live for 2022! The Learning Center (located in the PM&R Pavilion) is your destination for highly-interactive, hands-on demonstrations. Leading experts will give you exposure to new technologies available in different clinical areas. It's open throughout the Assembly and is included in your registration.
  • Hands-on Skills Labs offer a blend of didactic and hands-on learning. Choose from 11 interactive sessions, on topics covering sideline medicine, osteopathic manual medicine in low back pain, and ultrasound of upper limb nerves. (Additional fees apply).
  • Job & Fellowship Fair—The largest PM&R-specific career fair. Interact with representatives from 100+ institutions and practices across the country to learn about their open PM&R opportunities, connect with other job seekers and share advice and stories about what makes PM&R such a great specialty.
  • PHiT Fest including the ever-popular Resident Quiz Bowl, Resident Town Hall and Resident Reception.
  • Interactive PM&R Pavilion featuring the Learning Center, Research Hub and Exhibit Hall.
