September 26, 2019

Your Academy is looking for subject matter experts to continue developing the popular WATCHmē® library of instructional videos on me.aapmr.org.

We are currently recruiting for the following topics, but additional ideas are welcome and all will be considered:

  • Clinical Technologies (CT and MRI Scanning)
  • Injections
  • Pathological Gait
  • Spasticity Management
  • Sports Medicine
  • Ultrasound (Advanced)

"Creating a video for the AAPM&R Instructional Video Library was both a great learning experience and way to give back to AAPM&R and the field of physiatry. The Academy was very helpful with feedback and direction for the project. This is a great way for residents or attendings to demonstrate their knowledge and experience." - Nick Anastasio, MD, Past Instructional Video Faculty

Legislation Introduced to Alleviate Impact of Conversion Factor Cut for 2021

Nov 09, 2020

Last month, two bills were introduced in the House proposing solutions to the estimated 10.6% Physician Fee Schedule conversion factor cut expected to go into effect January 1, 2021.  The bills offer some relief to the cut, but do not reflect a comprehensive or long-term solution.  AAPM&R has therefore chosen to remain neutral regarding these bills.

Your Academy continues to advocate for a permanent solution to the conversion factor cut while maintaining the important payment increases to office and outpatient evaluation and management services.
