PM&R Compensation Study Coming Soon

Members & Publications

April 4, 2017

Your Academy is excited to announce it will be conducting a PM&R-specific compensation study early this summer. Academy members helped draft the questions, so the study will dive deep into PM&R compensation and benefits across key clinical and practice areas.

The depth of reporting will be dependent on the statistical significance of the data, so your response is essential to the value of this study. In turn, all participants who are current, active members of the Academy will receive the in-depth report for free. Stay tuned for more specific details.

The Academy has contracted with ECG Consulting, an independent and neutral third party, to conduct the study. Your privacy is our utmost concern. The results of the study, if statistically significant, will be released later this fall, after extensive analysis.

Legislation Introduced to Alleviate Impact of Conversion Factor Cut for 2021

Nov 09, 2020

Last month, two bills were introduced in the House proposing solutions to the estimated 10.6% Physician Fee Schedule conversion factor cut expected to go into effect January 1, 2021.  The bills offer some relief to the cut, but do not reflect a comprehensive or long-term solution.  AAPM&R has therefore chosen to remain neutral regarding these bills.

Your Academy continues to advocate for a permanent solution to the conversion factor cut while maintaining the important payment increases to office and outpatient evaluation and management services.
